高上げ漆

通常の色漆よりも粘度が高く、硬化が遅くなるよう調整した、厚く盛り上げて使うための特別な漆です。一度に厚く塗っても、縮みにくいのが特徴です。
高蒔絵では、漆を何度も塗り重ねる工程を短縮することができます。また、金継ぎでは、浅い欠けや凹みなどを錆漆を使わずに埋めることができます。
高く盛り上げる表現から金継ぎの補修まで、幅広く活用できる便利な漆です。

使用上の注意：
ロットや使用環境によって、きれいに盛り上げることのできる適切な厚みが異なります。ご使用前に、ハガキなどの紙の上などに、厚い部分から薄い部分まで試し塗りをし、適切な厚みや硬化状態を確認してから本番でご使用いただくことをおすすめします。

※厚く盛り上げた場合は、最初から高い湿度を与えず、ゆっくりと硬化させることがポイントです。まずは湿度をかけずに3〜7日ほど様子を見て、必要に応じて、その後湿度を与えてください。

TAKA-AGE URUSHI

A specially formulated urushi with a higher viscosity and slower drying time than regular colored urushi. It can be applied in a thick, raised layer without easily wrinkling.

For taka-maki-e (high-relief maki-e), it can help shorten the process by allowing you to build up the surface with fewer layers. It can also be used for kintsugi to fill shallow chips and dents without using sabi urushi.
A versatile and convenient urushi for creating raised surfaces and for various repair applications.

Important Note:
The ideal thickness for creating a clean, raised surface may vary depending on the batch and working conditions. Before use, we recommend testing the urushi on a piece of paper or postcard, applying it from thick to thin, to find the appropriate thickness and drying condition for your working environment.

※When applying the urushi in a thick, raised layer, it is important to allow it to cure slowly. Do not expose it to high humidity from the beginning. Instead, leave it for 3–7 days and observe its condition.
If necessary, gradually introduce humidity afterward to help the urushi cure.
